Today, probably, there is no such Hungarian, who would not respect the work of the prominent poet, essayist, revolutionary Sandor Petofi.

On the first day of the year, when the city was resting after the night bustle, the Hungarian community of Uzhgorod and Transcarpathian Hungarian Cultural Society came to commemorate Sandor Petofi on the occasion of his 192nd anniversary, the Karpatsky Obyektyv informs.

Near the monument to the poet, they were reciting his poems, talking about his work and laid a wreath with ribbons of colors of the Hungarian flag.
