On the border with Hungary and Slovakia, ammunition to rifles and machine guns was found

On December 21, a local resident reported an important information to border guards of the "Uzhgorod" department.

The man told border guards that 500 meters away from the border with Slovakia he had found a green package, which, according to him, contained one hundred rounds. Border guards and policemen found out that the found rounds were live, of 7.62 mm caliber and designed for the Kalashnikov machine gun. The total number of cartridges was 79 pieces. Also, there were two cartridge cases in the package. The ammunition was seized by MIA officers.

In addition, at the checkpoint "Tisa" on the border with Hungary, border guards found 30 cartridges for shotguns. They were being transported in the luggage compartment of a minibus "Mercedes" by our compatriot, who was returning from abroad. The cartridges were removed according to the law.
