A brand new “Audi Q5” twice tried to get into Ukraine, and now is kept in a warehouse of the customs office

Yesterday, December 17, a car "Audi Q5" released in 2014 arrived to the customs post "Solotvino" of the Chop Customs Office. The car had license plate of the Czech Republic and was driven by a citizen of that country.

Showing that he was was not hiding anything from custom control, the Czech headed to the "green corridor". As a grounds for moving the vehicle across the state border of Ukraine, the citizen submitted a certificate of registration for the vehicle and authorizing documents for the use of the car. The certificate stated that the owner of the "Audi" was one of the Czech companies.

Then almost a detective story began.

Customs officials decided to send the vehicle for a detailed inspection in the "red corridor". It turned out that about five days ago, they had already tried to move this car into the customs territory of Ukraine at the customs post "Tisa" of the Chop Customs Office.  The vehicle was then driven by another citizen, but he had no authorizing documents for operation of the car, so he had to go back.

This information was the reason for customs officials to verify the authenticity of authorization for the use of the car. After writing a letter to the Czech company that owns the vehicle, the answer was clear – they had not given authorization for operation of the "Audi Q5", and the document was forged.

Thus, the citizen of the Czech Republic was trying to move the car across the customs border of Ukraine with forged documents. Currently, the report on violation of customs regulations has been drawn up, the vehicle was seized untill the final judgment.
