In Transcarpathia, prosecutors began investigating into the negligence of officials

In Transcarpathia, prosecutors initiated criminal proceedings over negligence by officials of the district State Land Agency and the Registration Service of the District Department of Justice.

Tyachiv district prosecutor’s office registered the incident in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations on the basis of a criminal offense under Part. 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (negligence that led to grave consequences) in respect of officials of the State Land Agenct in Tyachiv district and the Registration Service of Tyachiv District Department of Justice.

Currently it has been established that officials of the State Land Agency in Tyachiv district and the Registration Service of Tyachiv District Department of Justice registered title to 2 land plots in total area of 4 hectares in the "Dumbrava" tract, the village of N. Apsha for personal farming.
By doing so, they violated legislative requirements, since only town and village councils have the right of disposal of land within settlements.
Therefore, because of inadequate performance of duties by the the officials, the local community suffered losses of more than 364,000 UAH.

The sanction of Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of two to five years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with or without a fine of two hundred fifty to one hundred tax-free minimum incomes.
