Energy company asks citizens to limit electricity consumption

The "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC asks people to limit the load on the grid from 17:00 to 22:00. This will allow to avoid emergency outages, the power company assure.

In general, currently the limit of power for Transcarpathian region is 385 MW. However, it should be emphasized that in the evening, peak loads may exceed the specified limit by 40 MW, which indicates the need for consumers to properly control their energy consumption and its limitation. 

"For example, if every family in Transcarpathian region made ​​efforts and limited their power consumption by at least 1 kW during peak hours and did not turn on powerful appliances during that period (such as kettle with a capacity of 2 kW, boiler – 2 kW, iron – 1.5 kW or washing machine with a capacity of 2 kW, etc.), it would be an important contribution to reducing the load on the grid – the general director of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC Viktor Petrov said. – In addition, such limitation, according to the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn, would allow to cancel schedules of outages."

Given all the above, the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC appeals to consumers requesting the maximum understanding of this situation and to continue taking measures to reduce the load.
