These days, we are happy for the success of Yuriy Babichyn – extremely talented writer, essayist, journalist, environmentalist born in the village of Synevyrska Polyana. As a result of the IV Nationwide literature and art competition, writer Yuriy Babichyn became the winner of the competition in the "Book" category. His book "Defect of the generation" was highly praised by the jury composed of renowned writers of Ukraine and readers, who played a leading role in voting for the nominated publications.
The work, permeated with the idea of kindness, spirituality, moral responsibility, captures the reader from the first page. On the one hand, "Defect of the generation" is a story about the extraordinary adventures of students in the Carpathians. On the other hand, it is a warning against the risk of spread of various ideologies that carry moral depravity, spiritual decay for their supporters and brutal physical punishment for their victims.
A fascinating and instructive book "Defect of the generation" will not leave readers of all ages indifferent, as well as other new works of the writer which are regularly published in literary journals of Ukraine. In particular, recent prose of Yuriy Babichyn represented Transcarpathia in the publication "Anthology of contemporary short stories and poetry of Ukraine."
