Shabbat goose is already being baked in Kolochava

Kolochava Village Museum invites you to another event. On the territory of the village, the memory of all the people, who were victims of the wars of the twentieth century, has been honored. Thus, names of about eight hundred Kolochava residents are engraved on twenty monuments located in the village.

On November 2, residents of Kolochava will honor their countrymen, who have suffered genocide. There will be an annual celebration of the Day of Jewish Culture, during which the fourth memorial stele to victims of the Holocaust during the Second World War will be established at the Jewish cemetery.

"The village has honored the memory of 260 Jewish victims. The new marble stele will have 120 names of Kolochava residents found as a result of careful research and exploration work engraved on it.

Also the celebration will include:

– Theatrical performances of Kolochava Jews cultural heritage

– Presentation of the book by the head the Ukrainian Association of Jews, former prisoner of Nazi concentration camps and ghettos BM Zabarko "We wanted to live"

– Screening of the movie "Shabbat goose from Kolochava" – the statement posted on the thematic page in social networks reads.
