The Czech Republic opens five visa centers in Ukraine. Visa centers in Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk will open on November 3, and visa centers in Lviv and Uzhgorod will start working on November 10.
Visa centres will be accepting applications for short-term Schengen visas. After opening of the center, Transcarpathians will not have to travel to Lviv to submit documents for Schengen visas.
"The opening of the Visa center of the Czech Republic in Uzhgorod was agreed last year. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaorálek while being in Transcarpathia has announced its opening on November 10," – the Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Ivan Baloha said.
Also the chairman of the council said that now Transcarpathians would be able to obtain the Czech Republic Schengen visas more easily. "One will not need to go to Lviv. Documents will be accepted at the Centre and delivered to the consulate general. The same as Poland did here, opening a visa center in Uzhgorod last year", – Ivan Baloha said.
