Ministry of Education has introduced a new system of the EIT, the minimum score of 124 is canceled

The Ministry of Education has introduced a system of external indepentdent testing on the basis of task complexity, depending on the subjects.

This was announced at the press conference by the director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment Igor Likarchuk, the "Ukrainski Novyny" informed.

"As of 2015, we introduce a new system of evaluation of the external testing results on a "passed" or "not passed" basis, – he said.

Likarchuk said that after the external testing for each subject, the expert group will determine the minimum number of test tasks that a candidate must perform in order to pass the external assessment.

The minimum number of tasks will depend on individual complexity of the test for each subject.

After determining the minimum number of tasks, those applicants, who have performed them, will be graded on a scale of 100 to 200 points.

Thus, the system, when the minimum score for external assessment for all subjects was 124, has been canceled.

Now those, who have the final result as "not passed", will not receive points at all.

According to Likarchuk, this system will take into account the complexity of each of the individual tests.
