In Svalyava, deputies decided to dismiss the prosecutor. The decision was taken at the meeting of Svalyava City Council held on August 29. The District Prosecutor Vitaliy Svystak was also invited to the session but he did not come to talk to the deputies.
In his speech, the head of Svalyava District State Administration Andriy Nalyvayko informed the deputies about the lack of cooperation between Svalyava District State Administration and the District Prosecutor. The Chairman of the Public Council at the City Council Ivan Eckman read out the open letter to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on the alleged abuse of laws by Svalyava prosecutors. Deputies were informed on the lack of cooperation between the prosecution office and Svalyava City Council.
Deputies decided to recognize the work of Svalyava district prosecution office as unsatisfactory and to pass a no confidence motion against the prosecutor Vitaliy Svystak. Deputies sent the decision to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and the Administration of the President of Ukraine.
