16 criminal proceedings over evasion from mobilization have been initiated

The Prosecutor’s Office take all legal measures to enforce the Law "On partial mobilization".

The third wave of the partial mobilization has been announced in all regions of Ukraine.It is carried out in accordance with applicable law, including the Law number 1595-VII "On approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On the partial mobilization."

As you know, persons subject to military service, who have received a call from the Military Commissariat to report for service, must report at the place and time specified in the call. Called up servicemen and reservists retain their jobs, positions and the average salary in the company or organization, regardless of ownership.

Protection of the country is our duty. Transcarpathian regional prosecutor emphasized that Art. 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for liability for the evasion from mobilization in the form of imprisonment for a term of two to five years.

However, in Transcarpathian region, 16 criminal proceedings under this article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine have already been initiated.

Persons drafted to the Armed Forces of Ukraine evade mobilization. Some of them, even having received a call and passed the appropriate medical examination, do not appear at the appointed time in district military commissariats and as a consequence, criminal proceedings have been opened against them.  Most of them are registered by Mukachevo city police, followed by Beregovo and Tyachiv district police departments.

Recall that any violations during mobilization should be immediately reported to law enforcement officials: if Transcarpathians are aware of any violations by officials, military officers or others, in the event of any unclear situations related to mobilization processes, they should immediately call law enforcement officers, including the prosecutor’s office by phone (0312) 63-04-64 – around the clock.
