On Thursday, August 21, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko took part in the meeting of the board of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Regional State Administration.
During the board, the head of the region gave awards to students who were winners of the fourth stage of the nationwide school Olympics. Also they paid tribute to teachers who taught the winners. In total, 20 students and 20 teachers were awarded this year.
For the second year in a row, awards were presented to the winners of the third stage of the All-Ukrainian contest of scientific and research works of students – members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This year, there were nineteen such winners in Transcarpathia.
– Thanks to teachers, parents, students, we are building the future of our country. They are the foundation that will shape our country. I wish talented students to continue pleasing and glorifying our region not only within the territory of the state, but throughout the world. We are strong, intelligent and tough nation – Valeriy Lunchenko addressed the audience.
On the same day in the lobby of the PADIYUN, there was the opening of the exhibition of works by students of schools from all districts, which is held together with the Vysocina region. At the exhibition, the students presented their works to participate in the regional drawing competition "My native land". As Valeriy Lunchenko commented, today you can see children’s love to their country in each such drawing.
