"Dear Uzhgorod residents! I invite all concerned citizens to contribute to the implementation of the European practice in our city" – Andriy Kyryliuk calls in the group "Uzhgorod".

He said: "I am talking about collection of plastic caps from edible products (juice, water, yogurt, milk, etc.). Around 100 cafes, bars and restaurants help in this, but there are also special containers for people in major supermarkets: Dastor, Vopak, Bestuzhev str., 9, Epicenter (there are also containers in the "Odyahayko" shop on the Avenue, the restaurant complex "Charda", in the "Dim kavy" in the Atlant hotel). Plastic caps are usually made of high-density polyethylene (marking – digit "2" in the triangle) and thrown in the trash. In nature, this material decomposes for 150-200 years."

Here are the objectives of this initiative: "We plan to collect a minimum batch of 500 kg, sell them for recycling, and use the money to buy wheelchairs, hearing aids (things needed for people with disabilities). That is the basic idea is to transform hazardous waste for those who need it."

So, join and do not throw away plastic caps but bring them to the collection points.
