Transcarpathian judges have been asked to influence Amarovych (Statement)

The community of Transcarpathia appeals to the judiciary. On the page "Euromaidan Uzhgorod", the following statement has been released:

"Honourable Judges!

Being aware that building a legal European country is not possible without the trust of the community to the judicial branch, we draw your attention to the unfortunate circumstances of the traffic accident that occurred on July 9, 2014 resulting in the death of a person.

The head of Perechyn court Amarovych VP was involved in this accident. On the same day, in the presence of the public, the alcohol test was performed, which determined the presence of alcohol in the blood of the judge.

We do not undertake to assess the guilt of Mr. Amarovych in this accident, but the moral aspect of the accident makes it impossible for him to continue working as a judge and cast a shadow of mistrust to the whole judiciary.

We ask eminent judges to convince their colleague to voluntarily resign (write a letter for resignation).

We also inform that next Tuesday in front of Perechyn district court, there will be a meeting of the community of Perechyn district, where a motion of no confidence against Perechyn court may be passed and the demand for lustration of judges may be declared.

The Public Convention" – the statement says.
