Dissension in the ranks: members of the Public Council are not satisfied with the work of the Presidium

Dissension in the Public Council of Uzhgorod: its members are out of the organization, not satisfied with the work of the Presidium and expressed distrust to the management. Today they organized a press conference to officially make a claim regarding the PC. The press conference turned into contention at the very beginning.     

According to Renata Protasova, due to the actions of the Presidium, the Public Council is engaged not in social work, but in political schemes.  

Because of this, 12 members of the PC, on Monday, July 14th, initiate a special meeting for dissmissal of the PC chairman Olekcandr Peresolyak, his deputies and the secretary Victoria Slisarenko. "Because of the actions of the Presidium, the Public Council loses its honor – Renata Protasova said. – We want to work for the benefit of the community, gain the trust of the people. Instead, at meetings, they don’t let us say a single word."

"According to Section 8.2 of the "Provisions on the Public Council", we have the right to initiate an extraordinary meeting of the PC, – Vasyl Popovich, human rights activist and member of the PC said. – If at least a few people believe that there are difficulties in the work of the PC or someone works unprofessionally, then it is the responsibility of every member of the Public Council. We are an advisory body that should not be engaged in political issues and usurpation. of power"

The Deputy Chairman of the PC Oleg Pahulych, the secretary Victoria Slisarenko and member of the PC Anastasia Bachynska, who were present at the press conference, stressed that the PC works very well and has a great workflow, and the 12 members of the PC, who have expressed distrust to the Presidium, in fact want to destabilize the Public Council.
