Pelargoniums blossomed on street lamps in Uzhgorod

These red pelargoniums now adorn the pedestrian bridge in Uzhgorod. They were put on lamps – two flowers on each. Mounts for hanging pots were arranged a few years ago, but they have not been used for long.

According to the Acting Mayor Victor Shchadey, the idea to decorate the pedestrian bridge with flowers was suggested to him by local entrepreneurs. "The owner of the cafe "Tiramisu" in the "Mustard Seed" lane Liliya Tsitsak suggested to contribute to beautification of the downtown – Victor Shchadey said. – As a result, we have flowers on the pedestrian bridge. We are grateful to the entrepreneur for such a nice idea. I hope that other entrepreneurs of the city will also join this initiative." By the way, the team of the "Mustard Seed" also took part in the project.

Pelargoniums are not demanding and do not require special care. They flower from early spring to late autumn. The flowers require copious irrigation only in summer, therefore city utility workers will be often sprinkling them with water.
