OPORA reminds: no copies

The observer of the OPORA in the village of Vorochevo, Perechyn district, at the polling station number 210377 recorded the fact of issuing a ballot to a person who presented only a copy of the passport. The chairman of the election commission Duhanchyk Justina allowed a member of the commission to give this person a ballot upon the presentation of a copy of the passport, arguing that the copy was notarized.

At polling stations of the constituency 70, they have recorded attempts to issue ballots to voters upon presentation of copies of the passport.

In accordance with Part 2 of Article 2 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Election of the President of Ukraine", "documents confirming the citizenship of Ukraine are:

7) military ID (only for conscripts);

8) a temporary certificate of a citizen of Ukraine;

The documents referred to in paragraphs 1, 7 and 8 of Part 2 of this Article are the basis for obtaining the ballot paper and can be used at regular and special polling stations."
