In Transcarpathia, a surge of separatism has been notable recently. This was reported by Vasyl Lemak, Doctor of Law, Professor, the head of the theory of state and law department of Uzhgorod National University at the meeting of Uzhgorod Press Club.
"This is not a call yet, because here they have no resources and supporters. There is a surge of information flows in the media – the expert said. – We all notice shortcomings of the Ukrainian state, but when it is done by enemies, it is very clearly visible. Unfortunately, it is dramatically increasing. Such people as Hetsko (self proclaimed "President of Subcarpathian Rus" – Ed.) are the extreme manifestation, they are never dangerous. However, media close to the former political team are more dangerous. A number of media outlets are beginning to heat up the formation of public opinion and the main thesis is "Ukrainian state is inept." This is the main thesis of Putin, that the people of Ukraine can not make their own state. Hitler spoke of Czechoslovakia similarly."
According to Vasyl Lemak, it must be understood that the Ukrainian state indeed needs to be reformed, but that does not mean that it is less capable than Russia or any other country. "The state power must control and monitor these things (separatist statements)," – the expert said.
