“Tales of the second grade”: a Slovak teacher publishes new book with the Uzhgorod children (Announcement)

The book "Tales of the second garde" will be present in Uzhgorod, on Wednesday in the center of Slovak culture in the city Ukrainian-Slovak school number 4.

"Tales of the second grade" is a continuation of the project started last year.

Then, Slovak teacher Jan Pohanich together with his first grade pupils published a collection of interesting stories of school life: he wrote the tales and kids illustrated them.

Now they switched roles: pupils wrote tales, poems and short stories themselves, and illustrations for the book were left to the teacher.

Mr. Jan assures: "Both books show that pupils are able to do extraordinary things at such a young age. It’s just that sometimes they need help – and the result is amazing." You can see it for yourselves at the book presentation on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 17:00 in the Slovak cultural center at Zhupanatska st., 10.

Guests will be welcomed (in addition to the creative teacher and his creative students, of course) by the General Consul of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod Janka Burianova, the director of Matica Slovenian house in Michalovce Maria Kushnirova, the President of the Matica Slovenian in Transcarpathia Jozsef Haynish, representatives of education and culture and so on. The "godfather" of the book is a popular singer and songwriter Martin Gusovsky.
