In April, Transcarpathian Regional State Administration will spend 7,000 UAH for "Making a portrait for the gallery of heads of executive power." It refers to making the portrait of the former governor Oleksandr Ledyda for the gallery of heads of Transcarpathia on the third floor of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The appropriate plan of implementation of the Program for development of art and culture in the region for 2014 was approved by Valeriy Lunchenko on April 2 this year.The money for the portrait will be allocated from the regional budget. It is stated that the purpose of the Ledyda’s portrait is "patriotic education of the people."
The current gallery of governors in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration was opened in August 2011. There are already twenty-eight portraits of the heads of the land from different historical periods of Transcarpathia there. The author of all works is People’s Artist of Ukraine Vasyl Skakandiy.
