Rehabilitation center at the Slovak Ministry of Defence expects Transcarpathian protesters (PHOTOS)

The Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod officially sent to the rehabilitation center 20 Ukrainians who were on the Maidan. They went to the rehabilitation center of the Ministry of Defence of Slovakia on the Šírava and will stay there for 10-12 days.

This was preceded by the fact that in February, when protesters "settled" in the building of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Consul General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod Janka Burianova would repeatedly come to express her support, offer help, the Acting Mayor of Uzhgorod Victor Shchadey recalls. He says, that at that time, no one thought of rehabilitation, no one wanted to go abroad, no one wanted to leave the post. Only now, when the situation in the country has become less tense, they have accepted the offer of diplomatic agencies.

The group consist of 12 people from Transcarpathia (Irshava and Uzhgorod district) and from Lviv region.      

Among them, there are two girls. Anna Komar, who hails from Mukachevo district, but now lives in Uzhgorod, says that girls were sent home from the Maidan when it became dangerous there. But she continued her mission in Transcarpathia, in the RSA. She says that rehabilitation is needed because they were in the cold, ate mainly dry rations. As a result, the girl with the temperature about 41 C was taken from there to the hospital.

Віктор Щадей зазначає, що 9 із 12 закарпатців не мали навіть закордонного паспорта. Матеріально цю справу підтримав нардеп Віктор Балога. А вже опісля у консульстві всім виготовили візи і вручили офіційно в день відправки. Янка Буріанова зазначила, що захоплюється цією молоддю і готова підтримувати, адже їм нині потрібна фізична і психологічна розрядка після пережитого.

Вже опісля сама Генконсул відправляла автобус із групою. Останнім із речами добігав закарпатець Валерій Копча (родом із Ялти, повідомив, але вже три роки мешкає в Ужгороді). 57- річний чоловік отримав дві кулі в голову на Майдані і залишився живим. Одну витягли після пострілів у польовій лікарні, іншу – вже в Ужгороді.
