Transcarpathian photographer Andriy Kyrylyuk is initiating the project, which he saw during one of his trips to Turkey, the Uzhgorod.net informed.
The idea is to collect plastic flip-off caps, sell them for recycling, and purchase for the raised money, for example, wheelchairs that people with disabilities so often lack.
As it turns out, in many countries, they have long been collecting plastic caps. Most of Europe does it on a national level. And the money received from recycling are used for charitable purposes.
The activist has begun to actively involve the city’s cafes, bars and restaurants. Caps from juice packs, plastic bottles, oil, ketchup… They will be useful for recycling. Currently, 50 establishments have given up throwing away caps and agreed to use them for charity. For the convenience of ordinary Uzhgorod residents, they have put special containers to collect plastic caps near stores and supermarkets:
TC "Dastor" Sobranetska str., 89
shop "Velogrand" Ankudinov str. 4
Coffee house Koryatovich str., 27 (hotel "ATLANT")
