The author of the idea is the famous Uzhgorod confectioner Valentyn Shtefanyo. He had previously made of dark chocolate 24 regions of Ukraine and Crimea. It was initially planned that the event would be for children. But both adults and children took an active part in the educational flash mob in one of the health centers in Lviv region.
To make it easier to assemble the "sweet" Ukraine, there were names written on them.
Each of the guests was trying first to find their home region. As a result, they started to assemble the map – some from Western Ukraine, some – from East. All roads led to the center – to Kyiv. It was very symbolic. Then all together they sang the anthem of Ukraine.
Valentyn Shtefanyo said that the idea of such a flashmob was inspired by political events taking place in Ukraine: "There is a lot of talk about federalization. My opinion is that we all need to stay together. Now, we are not strong enough to be apart from each other."
