In Mukachevo, a patrol inspector together with the employees of the sector of the criminal police for children detained a local student with amphetamine and marijuana.
Mukachevo police officers, while patrolling Mukachevo and the district, noticed a suspicious guy on one of the city streets. Police officers had the information that he might be carrying drugs.
They decided to check out the young man, but as the police officers approached him he tried to escape and threw two paper rolls from his jacket pocket… However, the police quickly caught and arrested the fugitive. One of the rolls contained a powdery substance similar to amphetamine, and another one – dried and ready to use marijuana.
The boy admitted that he had bought the drugs for himself, he knew that it was forbidden, but really wanted to try… However, the guy did not explain where he got the drugs.
Law enforcement officers initiated criminal proceedings over this fact under Part 1 of Article 309 (illegal possession of drugs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The seized substances were sent for analysis. The preliminary inquiry is ongoing.
