Vasyl Lemak: Parliamentary majority is destroying democracy and the parliament is the first victim

Famous Uzhgorod lawyer, law professor Vasyl Lemak reacted to yesterday’s decision of the Parliament with the following words: 

"I am reading today’s laws. I have no words. Dear deputies! Hitler, as well as our … (I don’t know how to call them), usurped power through a controlled parliament and laws. He set fire to the Reichstag, arrested deputies from opposition parties. Next, using the amendment to the Constitution he abolished guarantees of human rights (because of state of emergency) and then using laws he abolished local government, multiparty system, freedom of speech. Then, by a referendum he introduced to the constitutional system the post of Fuhrer. Finish. Then – concentration camps, then – gas chambers, the war against the world, bombing. And it all began with the use of stormtroopers and crackdown of opposition…". "Think" – the lawyer said.
