January 12, in the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, the regional festival "Carols in the old village" will be held. Groups from across the region will sing carols. Nativity plays will be performed by the Distinguished Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir and Transcarpathian Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre named after the Sherehiy brothers.
The event will start at 11.30 with a festive divine service in the Shelest church of St. Archangel Michael XVIII. The grand opening of the festival will be at 13.00.
From 13.30 to 15.00, Transcarpathian theater caroling groups will be performing for guests in the old village (carols will be sung in Ukrainian, German, Slovak, Hungarian and Romanian).
At the festival, there will also be the exhibition and fair of craft products. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste traditional food and drinks and take pictures in Transcarpathian traditional costumes.
