In Vynogradiv, a driver hit a mother with a child and ran

It took less than an hour for Transcarpathian traffic inspectors to find the driver who had hit a young mother with a child and left them to die on the road        

8 January, around 12 o’clock, in Vynogradiv, an accident happened. A driver, having hit a 20-year-old woman and a 3-year old boy, who were walking on the sideroad, fled the scene in an unknown direction. Passers-by called an ambulance, but unfortunately it was already too late for the child – the boy died on the way to the hospital. His mother in serious condition is in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Traffic police inspectors of Vynogradiv district found at the scene a piece of red paint and determined the color of the car, and by interviewing potential witnesses – the direction it had gone in. After watching the video from a CCTV camera on the street, it became clear that during that period of time, only one red car – "VAZ-2101" – left the street. Knowing the number of the license plate, it did not take long to find the owner. A few minutes later, the 23-year-old driver was giving testimony to the police. The whole "operation" took less than an hour.

The car was delivered to the impound lot. The driver, according to the results of the alcohol content test, was drunk. Currently, he is in the temporary holding facility – Traffic Police Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region reported.
