On New Year’s Eve, 6 new residents appeared in Uzhgorod

6 babies were born on New Year’s Eve in Uzhgorod: three boys and three girls. "All those babies that were born from 00.00 to 08.00 on January 1, during one work shift, are considered to be born on the New Year’s Eve" – the deputy chief physician on the medical work of Uzhgorod city maternity hospital Ruslan Fedko said. 

The first newborn in Uzhgorod was a boy, whom they plan to name Maxim; he was born at 1.20 in the morning. 

During 2013, every 4th child in Transcarpathia was born in Uzhgorod city maternity hospital, in general there was a record number of births – 3993.
