18% of Russians see Ukraine as a reliable partner, 10% – trust Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
This is evidenced by the polls of the Russian Center for Public Opinion (VTsIOM).
According to the Russians, the best of the CIS countries to build partnership with are Belarus (51%) and Kazakhstan (37%).
Ukraine is the third in this ranking, but only 18% of respondents trust it.
5% of respondents support cooperation with Azerbaijan and Armenia, 2% – with Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Georgia.
3% of respondents noted reliability of Moldova, 1% – of Tajikistan.
The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko enjoys the most confidence of Russians – 41%, the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev – 33%.
Viktor Yanukovych enjoys confidence of only 10% of citizens of the Russian Federation.
Among the most successful CIS countries, Russians today name Belarus (50%), Kazakhstan (35%) and Ukraine (21%).
The nationwide poll was held on 16-17 of November 2013
1,600 people in 130 settlements in 42 regions of Russia were polled. The statistical error does not exceed 3.4%.
