On the night of 22 to 23 of November, still unknown vandals smashed 28 lamps installed in Kyivska embankment, along the Uzh river.
The 7 dniv urged possible witnesses of the unfortunate event to join the investigation, conducted by law enforcement agencies.
The news about modern vandals circled all regional publications, astounded by uncivilized, shameful act. However, it should be noted that the publication was too hasty announcing the amount of damages "at least 40-50 thousand hryvnias." Using a calculator, community activist Serhiy Denisenko calculated that in that case each lamp would cost 1428 UAH.
"The most expensive glass (reinforced, imported) costs 180 UAH per square meter. With cutting, let’s assume – 300. As a result, each lamp would have taken 4.8 square meters of glass" – he wrote in Facebook.
In conclusion: no mathematical flaws justify loutish attitude to the city! Let’s search for enemies of Uzhgorod together!
