A woman with three young children was “wandering” in the Carpathians

Yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment arrested another group of illegal immigrants from the Asian region who were trying to illegally enter the EU.

Border guards of the "Knyahynya" unit together with the soldiers of the mobile unit (Kyiv) patrolled the area of the Ukrainian-Slovak border. Having detected a group of unknown persons that were moving toward the Slovak, border guards immediately moved towards them. The detainees had no documents on them.

There were five of them – a man, a woman and three children. During the initial interrogation, the man said that he was a national of Poland. The woman with three boys – four, eight and ten years of age – at first said that she was from Afghanistan, but later admitted that they were from Tajikistan. Also, they said that they were heading to Slovakia and from there they planned to get to Germany.

The offenders were brought to the station in order to clarify the circumstances of the offense and make administrative and procedural documents. The decision on the further fate of the detainees will be determine by court.

By the way, this is the second case of the detention of immigrants from Tajikistan during the reporting year – the press service of the Chop border guard detachment reported.
