The 5th sports field with artificial turf was opened in Rakhiv district. This time, a brand new mini-field was presented to students of Chorna Tisa school, the press service of the regional administration reported.
431 students study in the local school – some are from the neighboring villages. More than half of students are engaged in art and sports clubs. Until now, the young athletes had to practice in the old school gym.
The new field became the most high-altitude, because the village of Chorna Tisa is located at 800 meters above sea level. The mini-field, as usually, was built by the local community using funds from the regional budget.
This year, they plan to arrange 14 more sports fields with artificial turf, the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda said. Soon, he said, there will be the grand opening of a "sports city" in Uzhgorod SC "Yunist", where there will be 2 sports grounds with ultra modern polyurethane coating.
