Recently the TV show "Abzats" ("Novy canal" TV channel) showed a story from which the Prosecutors of Uzhgorod learned of the existing of debt on wages at the "Intourist-Zakarpattya" Hotel Complex JSC.
The story stated that the management of the company had been owing salaries to its staff since June this year. However, the prosecutor’s office in Uzhgorod has not received any complaints about it.
Therefore, in view of the facts published in the media, on the basis of Art. 8 of the Law of Ukraine "On Prosecutor’s Office", Uzhgorod City prosecutor’s office sent to the Territorial State Labour Inspectorate in Transcarpathian region the request for immediate check of compliance with the legislation on labor at the "Intourist-Zakarpattya" Hotel Complex JSC. The said supervisory authority shall take appropriate measures and inform prosecutors of Uzhgorod about the results of the check in the legally stipulated period. The results will be made public.
