Thanks, Security Service, for Dovzhenko street! (note to institutions)

This Friday, Dovzhenko street was pleasantly clean and vast: the overloaded car parking lot became a free territory and a public space – a pleasure to see.

Obviously, we have to thank the staff of the Security Service of Ukraine, who, it seems, have taken measures to free Dovzhenko and turn it into a real street – even beautiful cobble stones are now visible, and you can walk without "jumping" over cars. We do not know how the institution has achieved this and where its employees leave their cars now, but we believe that this example should be followed by the rest of offices in the historic center. And we intentionally publish these pictures at the end of the weekend, so that next week somebody will think about it – whether to turn the street in a "corporate" parking lot or to leave it for all Uzhgorod residents, including pedestrians, cyclists, mothers with strollers, and other drivers who are forced to maneuver between tightly parked cars…
