The office of the AVE-Uzhgorod is registered on Leo Tolstoy street (PHOTOS)

 August 29, on Leo Tolstoy street, 33 in the regional center, the office of the AVE – Uzhgorod was officialy opened.

Near the office they organized the demonstration of equipment and containers for providing services to the population. Red carpet, column of bright baloons, happy tunes performed by the band of musicians from Austria, children from the PADIYUN who were drawing pictures on environmental issues on the pavement – all that made the event more festive.

The festive event was attended by the management of the AVE Froup – Master Helmut Burger and of the AVE Umvelt Ukraine Yenson Wittenberg, as well as by officials of the region and settlements of Transcarpathia.

The event was opened by the General Director of the "AVE Uzhgorod" and the "AVE Mukachevo" Maria Olenych.

Last year, the AVE made a comprehensive analysis of the situation with household waste handling in Uzhgorod, a series of meetings and negotiations with the city officials and deputies. As a result, Uzhgorod signed an agreement to provide services in this field for a period of 25 years. Now, in the regional center there are new, standardized containers for garbage collection, special equipment. They are working on introduction of solid waste selection system.

The event concluded with the traditional ribbon cutting, the inspection of the facilities and ceremonial run of the trucks on Tolstoy street.
