Where to drink in Transcarpathia?

August 11, in Lopukhiv village, whose ancient name is Brustry, festival "Brusturyanska kedrovytsya" will take place.
Name of the festival was inherited from the cedars that grow at Brusturyanske Forestry at an altitude of 1350 m on poor, stony soils.
"The tree does not survive elsewhere but here at Gorgany spine, – said the Head of Kedrynske Forestry Vasyl Zolotar. – No one knows how these trees appeared here, but scientists estimate that their age is more than 500 years. "
The mistress of the festival – kedrovytsya (cedar vodka) is made of cedar cones.   It was possible to find out that kedrovytsya color – red or yellow – depends on the age of cones that are collected young or ripe. This impacts also the taste of the drink. Only the cones that have fallen to the ground are used in production. The value of kedrovytsya is that it has therapeutic and preventive effect and helps to avoid many diseases.
