Delicious and generous season continues. Now is the best time to diversify the diet with colorful fruits for every taste, the benefits of which can not be overemphasized. It’s a natural panacea for all illnesses!
For example, cranberries – known in the countryside antiseptic that can be stored for at least two years without heat treatment – were praised by the founder of plants and animals classification Carl von Linne. He dubbed it a Trojan grapes. The taste of this berry, which is the same age as oak (lives 300 years), is a little sweeter than that of cranberries, because it contains 8-9 per cent more sugar and less acid. Also, the dark red juicy fruit is good for people who have problems with kidneys, liver and bladder. Also, it is good for children who can not sleep because of enuresis.
Other properties are attributed to blueberries, known in Transcarpathia as yafyna, that treats diseases of gastrointestinal tract.
Tetyana Markovich – a doctor of the Transcarpathian Regional Health Center – notes that branches of the bushes also help. "Leaves of yafyna are collected, by the way, until the fall, sometimes they are dried together with fruits. And then, they make tea with them, it is especially good for patients diagnosed with diabetes and those who suffer from ailments related to the pancreas. As for the berries, fresh ones are used for treatment of stomach catarrh, and "dried" ones – for gastritis and colitis."
Interesting is the fact that Mother Nature rewarded women with extraordinary goodies – blackberries, known among traditional healers as a pill for middle-aged representatives of the fair sex… The doctor says that "this black berry normalizes hormones."
Of course, it is better to eat the berries fresh, but they can also be frozen, preserved as jam or stored in refrigerator, mixed with sugar in the proportion – one part of berry to two parts of sugar.
Whichever way you choose, you will always win. It is better to create your own first aid kit with natural medicines than to buy chemicals that treat one organ, harming another one… And also it’s very tasty.
