Recently, in Mukachevo, they installed a number of billboards, similar to those which appeared in June in Ivano-Frankivsk, Mukachevo.net reported. However they appeal not to the Treasury, but directly to the President – on behalf of the community, they demand to return the city’s money for water utility, construction of a new house of culture, playgrounds and parks, as well as street lighting.
These issues have become particularly problematic in recent years, primarily because of the inability to use community funds, that have been blocked on the account of the Treasury during the year.
Meanwhile, the campaign of demanding money from the state treasury with a direct appeal to the President has spread all over Transcarpathia. Similar billboards have been installed in Uzhgorod, Irshava, Khust, Tyachiv, and Vynogradiv.
