Uzhgorod Regatta 2013

July 28, Sunday, in the regional center, on the Uzh river, "Uzhgorod Regatta 2013" will be held. 

"Uzhgorod Regatta" is a fun sporting event, rafting down the main river of the city in boats of various designs. 

Start: the beach at the Gorky Park ("Spartak" swimming pool), near the Pidzamkovy Bridge (the right bank).

Finish: in front of the transport bridge ("Roshen" playground, "Uzhgorod" Hotel)

Registration – 16:00 – 16:45

Start – 17:00

Number of crew members is not limited, but the "vessel" must come yo the finish line with a complete crew.

The contribution for each "ship" – 50 UAH. Contributions will be used to make a prize pool that will be awarded to winners.

According to the Regatta Award Winners in the following categories:

"The Flying Dutchman" (the fastest boat)
"Jolly Roger" (most original ship)
"Black cuttlefish" (fastest ship among the original)
"Noah’s Ark" (naychyslenishyy crew)

This year "Uzhgorod regatta" is not limited to race.
At the finish of the race there will be a frog-throwing competition, body art competitions and other contests.

Notes:
1.  The organizers have the right to deny anyone to participate in the regatta without explanation.
2.  In case of poor weather or state of the river, the regatta can be moved to a later date, which will be announced.

Recall that "Uzhgorod regatta" is not just a sport but also a fun race. Earlier Uzh raft included floated "iceberg", a football field, mattresses, tanks, submarine, police car, ironing boards, and even … fridge! So swith your imagination on – and let’s go to the sailors!
