During two days, short films lovers will be able to see the winning films of the II Kyiv International Short Film Festival (KISFF), which took place from 24 to 28 of April in the capital.
This year, 200 films from 51 countries were presented at the festival. The international jury, consisting of film industry professionals, have chosen from among the 22 competition films four winners, which received festival awards: Best Film of the festival, Best Director and two special awards.
The winner was the animated film "It’s such a beautiful day!" by Don Hertzfeldt (USA). Estephania Veira (Argentina) was awarded as Best Director for the film "Two couples are smoking under the table" and the special jury awards went to "All Saints Day" by Alexandra Terpinska (Poland) and "Artifacts of the city" by Florian Schneider (Germany).
Show program in Uzhgorod is divided into two blocks. The first block will include the winning films of the festival and a bonus movie – a black surreal thriller "The Perfect Drug" by Belgian director Tun Aerts. The second block will include the best movies in the opinion of the organizers, spectators and Ukrainian critics. Shows will be held in the puppet theater "Bavka" on June, 14 and 15.
