Election in Beregovo: so far, everything is fine, except for cracks in a ballot box – “OPORA”

The mayor election in Beregovo began without any violations. At 8:00 all the polls were open. All PSC meetings began on time. In Beregovo, there are 13 polling stations – 12 regular and 1 special one, where 228 commissioners work – observers from the "OPORA" report.

As of the start of voting, 20,405 persons are included in voter lists. Of these, 260 will vote at home.

Observers recorded minor incidents that occurred at the beginning of the election process. Some candidates have not yet taken their certificates from the territorial electoral commission. In particular, Otto Baloh from the "Socialist Party" came to take his certificate only in the morning of the election day. Recall that 10 candidates are running for the mayor seat. They predict that the competition will be mostly between the three of them.

Also they recorded a case of correcting a technical error in the updated voter list. A voter’s patronym was indicated incorrectly. The commission, according to para. 5 of Art. 33 of the Law of Ukraine "On the election of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, local councils and village, town and city mayors", legally allowed the voter to vote.
