It is unlikely that Transcarpathians will see another colored rain like today any time soon, but they definitely should be prepared for rains – a storm warning has been declared in the region.
Vasyl Manivchuk, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology, said: "In the coming days, in the region there will be heavy rainfall and storms. Most of them will be in the central and eastern parts of the region. There will be hail, wind gusts, and storm events. As for danger, it must be said that a low flood wave will be formed – up to two meters above the current level of the Borzhava river basin and one meter and a half throughout the region. We do not expect flooding, but water levels will rise."
Meteorologist’s forecasts are not encouraging – during the next two days it will get significantly colder, and precipitations will continue, and most of June, at least until the 20’s, will be like that. However, Mr. Vasyl said, the weather will improve in the middle of the month – the rains will stop around 15-16 of June.
