Swimming in the Uzh is allowed on Botanichna, Studentska and part of Kyivska embankments. At least, that is what the Municipality headed by Victor Pogorelov decided on May 15.
However, as the reporter of uzhgorod.in recorded, these "beaches" are far from being ready for summer vacation.
The best one of them is at the Children’s Railway. However, the steps from the embankment are covered with dirt. On the shore there is only one changing cabin. There are also benches, however it is clear that they are taken care of not by the utilities, but by winter swimmers who swim in the Uzh in this spot.
Kyiv embankment has been mown, however there are no signs of beach there.
Studentska embankment has not even been mown.
So, this is the summer gift from the Uzhgorod mayor and his subordinates. Will we see Victor Pogorelov himself or his deputies at these "beaches" in the summer? Will they show by example how comfortable it is there?
