The head of the Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda in late April approved rules for placing outdoor advertising objects in Transcarpathian region outside settlements.
Starting from May, the permits will be issued by the sector for the development of the information infrastructure of Information and Public Relations Department of the Regional State Administration.
The permit will be issued free of charge for the duration of the afreement on temporary use of the advertising object location. It is prohibited to conduct tenders in the process of permit issuing. Placement of outdoor advertising will have to be coordinated with the traffic police and the Ministry of Culture – in case of advertising on the monuments of history and architecture.
Also the document sets out the order of placement of advertising objects. Thus, the distance between supports of advertising materials placed along highways should be at least 100 meters. Responsibility for the condition of advertising material, compliance with safety requirements during their operation will be borne by the distributor of outdoor advertising.
Advertising objects placed in violation of the legislation will be dismantled by the State Road Agency at the request of the Regional State Administration.
