What we do not “sow”, we chop … (PHOTOS)

The news of blooming sakura in Uzhgorod prompted tourists from all over Ukraine and beyond to rush for tickets to see a blooming paradise, which our city turns into.  Almost simultaneously with sakura, magnolia. Japanese quince, Florida and Chinese apple also begin to bloom here.

People take pictures in a nimbus of pink mist, feeling really happy. 

But, a few days after the start of flowering, sakura, which has become a symbol of the ancient city, if it only could, would weep bitterly, showing its bare branches.

Locals are so fond of this "brand", that they carelessly break away its branches and take it home.

"European" vandalism was supported by a host of a morning broadcast on the local television, who was enthusiastically telling the audience about the biggest sakura alley in Europe waving with a broken branch in bloom! 

By the way, there is an old Japanese legend – those who plant a sakura, will have success and happiness. And those who break …
