Today, April 12, the Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul visits Transcarpathia. Commenting to reporters on what he saw during a helicopter flight over the region, Vilkul said: "Now we hold a retreat meeting of the State Commission for Emergency Situations, have circled most problematic locations in Transcarpathia and monitor the activities of local authorities, the MOE to prepare for flood on the Tisa and other locations in the region. More than 2 thousand people and 320 pieces of equipment are engaged, and constant monitoring is ensured. Every hour in Kyiv we receive information about the flood situation in Transcarpathia."

The Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda then assured that the flood just would not happen, "We inspected with the Deputy Prime Minister all the territories, saw pumping plants, dams, coastal protection. In the mountains there is a lot of snow, but given the situation that is now, and prognoses by forecasters, we can say that this year in Transcarpathia there will not be spring flood."
