By the court desicion, the treasury will receive 10 million hryvnias under claims of the Chop customs

During January-March 2013, officers of the Chop customs made 161 resolutions on the imposition of an administrative penalty. Thus, the violators of customs legislation were fined in the amount of 326,000 UAH. Last year they made half as much resolutions – 81, fined ten times less – 31,000 UAH.

433 cases for 4.4 million hryvnias have been referred to courts. In 508 cases of violation of customs regulations (including last year), judgments for 10.6 million hryvnias have been obtained. In particular, in 476 cases forfeiture in the amount of 5.4 million hryvnias has been applied. Also, the court imposed fines on 468 cases totaling 4.6 million hryvnias, of which under 115 resolutions non-residents were charged 1.7 million hryvnias. In total, since the beginning of the year, 656,000 UAH of fines imposed by the court have been recovered. Also, in 18 cases for 3.5 million hryvnias the proceedings have been closed.
