On Tuesday, April 9, the deputy chief of the security of the line operation control station "Dubrynichi" of the "Prykarpatzakhidtrans" subsidiary reported to the police that during the inspection of the said company’s pipeline, owned by "Yugo-Zapad" JSC (Samara, Russia) near the village of Rafaynovo in Beregovo district, in the field, at the distance of 500 meters from the settlement he had found an illegal tie-in.
At the depth of 1.2 m, a ball valve of 32 millimeters diameter was mounted into the pipe. Oil leaks were not detected. There are no threats to the environment.
As uzhgorod.in reported, a similar tie-in in the same pipeline was discovered on Sunday in Uzhgorod district.
