The investigation found out that at the time of the accident, Nahirny was definitely intoxicated

Although everyone was sure that Pavlo Nahirny, the culprit of the infamous tragic accident in Khust, was drunk during the accident, there were doubts whether the police would be able to prove his state of intoxication, since he did not have his blood tested for alcohol content then. 

Now this is finally decided. According to the spokesperson of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region Hanna Trofymchuk, the investigation finally found out that Nahirny was driving while being drunk. How exactly investigators managed to find out that was not reported. However, currently there is no doubt that evidence of Nahirny’s state of intoxication will be presented at the trial.

According to the information, obtained from the victim’s relatives, the police could have determined Nahirny’s state of intoxication by conducting an examination of the airbag in his car.
