Doctors diagnosed the girl from Uzhgorod with a terrible disease – leukemia. For urgent medical procedures they needed blood, and immediately, but the hospital did not have it. Unable to find donors among relatives and friends, the father of the child turned to Uzhgorod police department, writes the journalist of the "FACTS" Yaroslav Halas.
– The man has no relation to the police, – the representative of the press service of Transcarpathian Regional Police Department Hanna Trofimchuk said. – He came to the police department because from the media he knew about the campaign, recently held by our traffic police. The road inspectors voluntarily donated blood for the victims of accidents.The management of the city police department asked patrol officers to donate blood for the girl.
For two days, patrol officers were coming to Uzhgorod transfusion station.Their blood actually saved the life of the child. Now Yulia is in Mukachevo regional children’s hospital and is preparing to move to Kyiv for further treatment. Her parents thank police for their responsiveness and help.
